Julia Tibbett - Violin
Julia Tibbett is a musician as well as a teacher of music. She received her degree from Montclair State University where she studied violin with Oscar Ravina of the New York Philharmonic. Julia began teaching music in 1983 and is currently teaching in her hometown of Freehold Township where she sees over 700 music students a week. Julia is the conductor of the New Jersey State Youth Orchestra Preparatory Division and first violinist with The Four Occasions String Quartet and The Duo Cantabile. She also began performing with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra in 1983. Julia has two boys, Kirkham and Liam, who are the light of her life!

Winnie Burke - Violin

Winnie plays violin in the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra as well as numerous chamber groups, including Java String Quartet, Trio and Duo. Her dual work on piano as well as violin has led to accompaniment of string and wind soloists as well as renowned soprano Louise Natale. Winnie attended Kean University, where she was concertmaster of her college orchestra for four years. Upon graduation, she became an elementary school teacher for ten years while continuing her career as a musician. She has played with the New Jersey State Orchestra, Silver Strings, City Strings, Four Occasions String Quartet and in pit orchestras for the Monmouth Civic Chorus, Shrewsbury and Arcadian Chorales. She played onstage with Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band for their revue in Red Bank. Winnie continues to perform and teach in the area and is a member of the American Federation of Musicians.

Diane Amster - Viola

Diane Amster was born in Bronx, New York. She went to the High School of Performing Arts and continued on to Temple University for a B.S. in Music Education. She has taught both instrumental and vocal music in the public schools as well as private instruction of the violin and viola for many years. In addition to playing viola in the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra and Four Occasions String Quartet, she also freelances in Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Diane and her husband, Sig, live in Colts Neck and they have two married daughters and two grandchildren.

Amanda Gruber
- Cello
Amanda holds a BA in education and English, a MA in Counseling Psychology, and attended Shenandoah Conservatory of Music as a cello performance major. While attending college Amanda performed actively with Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony, Shenandoah Chamber Orchestra, and in a string quartet. She also held the principal seat for Garden State Philharmonic Orchestra for several years. Currently Amanda works as the school counselor for the Performing Arts Academy High School of Ocean County Vocational School. She is the principal cellist for Monmouth Symphony, is hired freelance for performances, teaches group cello lessons for The New Jersey State Youth Orchestra, and teaches private cello lessons out of her home. Most recently Amanda has continued her personal cello studies with Charles Forbes, former principal cellist of America Symphony Orchestra, and with Cheng Hou Lee of the Avalon String Quartet, and with Samuel Magill of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra. Amanda is a member of the Amateur Chamber Music Players of North America, and of the American Federation of Musicians.
